Espresso Systems is seeking a Software Engineer for their Infrastructure team, focusing on the development of Espresso, a global confirmation layer for cross-chain composability.
The role involves enhancing transaction confirmations to reduce finality risk and prevent sequencer equivocation issues.
The network is currently in its Mainnet 0 release, offering functionalities like fast confirmations, decentralized sequencing, and low-cost data availability.
The team collaborates with leading organizations in the blockchain space, including Offchain Labs, Polygon, and Cartesi, to create an open Web3 experience.

As a Systems Software Engineer, you will work closely with engineers and product managers on transaction processing, communication, consensus, and storage components of the ledger and roll-up systems.
Responsibilities include contributing to the design and implementation of Espresso’s core blockchain infrastructure in Rust and managing engineering projects from concept to production.

Requirements:

A B.S. in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience in computer science and software engineering is required.
Candidates must have experience in shipping and taking engineering projects to production.
Experience with distributed systems and/or blockchain systems, particularly in P2P networking and consensus, is necessary.
A solid understanding of software engineering and security best practices is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
A passion for writing correct code is a must.
