Parity is a core blockchain infrastructure company focused on building advanced technologies in the blockchain sector.
The Software Engineer (Integrations) will join the Front and Integrations Team, focusing on building and maintaining tooling and applications primarily in TypeScript and Rust.
Responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining TypeScript-based tools/libraries to assist internal and external teams in managing substrate-based blockchains.
The role involves taking ownership of different areas of codebases and projects, with an expected time split of 80% on TypeScript projects and 20% on Rust projects.
The position is fully remote, working within a team of approximately 10 engineers primarily based in Europe.
Candidates should be motivated, autonomous, and able to adapt to the dynamic Web3 environment.

Requirements:

Candidates must be able to work autonomously and communicate effectively in a distributed team.
A strong interest in blockchain technology, particularly Substrate and Polkadot, is essential.
Prior experience or interest in working with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and deploying/running smart contracts is required.
Demonstrable experience in TypeScript, especially in open-source projects, is necessary.
An interest in the Rust programming language and its community is important, as Rust is extensively used in the role.
A good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, HTTP, and WebSockets, is required, along with experience in building HTTP-based APIs and clients.
Ideally, candidates should live within 2 hours of UTC+0, although exceptional candidates outside this timezone may be considered.
