• Second Dinner is an award-winning independent game development studio focused on creating the most fun games in the world, including the acclaimed game MARVEL SNAP.
• The Software Engineer Intern position is a full-time, remote internship aimed at contributing to the engineering team behind MARVEL SNAP.
• The internship is expected to last approximately 12 to 13 weeks, with opportunities for local interns to work from the office.
• Interns will work closely with a senior engineer who will mentor them in video game feature and architecture development.
• Interns will participate in Agile-style meetings, including daily standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• The role involves designing and implementing features across the client and server, while learning about server application layers, data transport layers, and software design principles.
• Interns will engage in regular meetings with their mentor to discuss progress and receive guidance, and will also participate in weekly playtests.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have experience programming in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, Java, or C++.
• Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
• A growth mindset and a passion for learning new technologies and skills are essential.
• Strong technical and personal communication skills are necessary.
• Candidates should have a highly responsive attitude and be collaborative and supportive of team members.
• Applicants must be currently enrolled at a university or college.
• Eligibility to work in the United States is required.
