Description:
The Software Engineer (Lifecycle) position at Brilliant involves working closely with Product, Design, and Data teams to solve important problems for learners.
The role focuses on crafting and delivering timely and delightful messages to motivate learners, running high-volume experiments to maximize effectiveness.
Responsibilities include owning and evolving technical systems for emails and push notifications, developing expertise in tools like Braze and Snowflake, and bringing new features from conception to completion.
The role requires maintaining a balance between technical and business perspectives, exercising autonomy, and contributing to a culture of excellence within the team.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a focus on backend and data systems.
Motivated by building robust and maintainable software systems that drive outcomes for users and the business.
Capable of working across the stack, integrating with third-party systems, and using the right tools for the job.
Experience with Django, GraphQL, Snowflake, Census, or Braze is beneficial.
Enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, solving problems, and sharing knowledge.
Have a preference for straightforward and maintainable solutions, avoiding complexity and prioritizing human-readable code.
