Description:

Parity is a core blockchain infrastructure company focused on building a decentralized internet.
The Parachains Core team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the core technology of the Polkadot blockchain.
The position involves designing, implementing, and maintaining protocols essential for the security, scalability, and adoption of Polkadot.
Responsibilities include contributing to performance improvement projects, debugging complex issues in distributed systems, and building test suites for component functionality.
The role is fully remote, working with a team of approximately 10 engineers based in Europe.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Hands-on experience with implementing and maintaining distributed systems is required.
Experience in performance engineering and optimizations is necessary.
Knowledge of software engineering best practices is essential.
Candidates should be able to collaborate in an open-source culture and be open to feedback.
The ability to solve complex problems over extended periods is required.
Candidates must demonstrate ownership and accountability for their work in the long term.
The ability to drive projects to completion incrementally by establishing clear milestones is necessary.
