Description:
As a Software Engineer on the Frontend platform team at Mural, you will contribute to evolving the platform by establishing tools and services that assist front-end engineers in writing code efficiently and creating high-quality, accessible UI.
You will advocate for the adoption of cutting-edge technologies and methods to achieve product goals, participate in the technical design process, and document solutions effectively.
Understanding user requirements and pain points will be crucial in your role to drive solutions and enhancements.
You will be responsible for identifying and improving performance bottlenecks, conducting experiments, analyzing results, and fostering a culture of shipping great products.
Collaboration with product and design teams to solve complex problems, building scalable solutions, and influencing the team's roadmap will be key aspects of your role.
The position requires experience in software engineering, collaboration with design and product teams, building components and libraries for developers, and working on cross-team collaboration projects.
Proficiency in Javascript, React, and Typescript development, attention to detail in UI development and UX best practices, knowledge of web accessibility, and experience with frontend testing practices are essential.
Familiarity with web application development frameworks and tools like Express, Babel, Webpack, continuous integration and deployment techniques, data stores, remote work environments, problem-solving skills, and excellent English communication skills are also required.
Requirements:
3+ years of software engineering experience collaborating with design and product teams.
Experience in building components and libraries for other developers.
Proficiency in Javascript, React, and Typescript development.
Ability to collaborate across teams on complex projects.
Deep understanding of UI development and UX best practices.
Knowledge of web accessibility and inclusive UI development.
Experience with frontend testing practices at scale.
Familiarity with web application development frameworks and tools like Express, Babel, Webpack, etc.
Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment techniques.
Experience with various data stores and designing suitable data models.
Demonstrated bias for action, embracing calculated risks and frequent experimentation.
Experience working in a remote environment, preferably at a remote-first company.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to recommend solutions.
Excellent command of written and verbal English communication.
Benefits:
Base salary for roles in New York City, California, Colorado, and Washington ranges from $115,000 - $143,800 + equity + benefits.
Compensation determined by factors such as location, level, knowledge, skills, and experience.
Certain roles may be eligible for variable compensation.
