Description:

  • Parity is a leading team in developing core blockchain infrastructure at the protocol level, focusing on open-source technologies for a decentralized internet.
  • The Polkadot Runtime team is responsible for the business logic of Polkadot and related tools, including design elements like FRAME macros and messaging formats like XCM.
  • The position is for a Software Engineer to work on XCM and system test frameworks, involving the design and implementation of protocols for the Polkadot protocol and applications built on it.
  • Responsibilities include working on complex, multi-chain problems and designing end-to-end test suites for multi-chain applications.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be able to work autonomously and solve problems independently.
  • Collaboration in an open-source culture is essential, with the ability to engage in peer review as both a reviewer and reviewee.
  • A good understanding of system design and the ability to work with complex systems is required.
  • Candidates should take ownership of their work, be responsible for outcomes, and understand that project completion involves ongoing feedback and improvement.
  • Good communication skills are necessary, with the ability to present work clearly in blog posts or at conferences.
