Description:

Arista Networks is seeking a Software Engineer to join the OpenConfig team responsible for building a dynamic, programmable data center infrastructure using software-defined networking principles.
The engineering team at Arista started from scratch to architect a new networking operating system based on state orientation, open standards, and a single software image consistency.
The State Orientation approach uses a unique multi-process state-sharing architecture for module independence, self-healing resiliency, and software stability.
Arista's Open Approach involves building EOS on an unmodified Linux kernel, enabling full access to Linux utilities and supporting Linux containers and virtual machines.
The company provides a Single Image software that runs across all products, improving network testing, reliability, and reducing operational costs.
The role involves working on declarative configuration and model-driven management and operations in a product-engineering environment.

Requirements:

Strong engineering and Computer Science fundamentals are required for this position.
The candidate should have an extensive background in algorithms and strong software architecture skills.
Fluency in one of C/C++/Python programming languages is essential.
Hands-on experience with designs and implementations in a strong product-engineering environment is a must.
