Software Engineers at Carwow work in cross-functional product teams with product managers, engineers, designers, and data analysts.
The role involves collaborating closely with a product manager and technical lead to develop features for customers, code reviews, coaching engineers, ensuring operational excellence, and sharing knowledge within the engineering organization.
Requirements:
Around 2 years or more of experience in software development, with a focus on Ruby and frameworks like Ruby on Rails.
Experience in a Test-Driven Development (TDD) environment.
Familiarity with event-based systems like Kafka and proficient in using Git or other version control systems.
Ability to work in a KPI-oriented team, taking responsibility for product outcomes.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work in distributed teams with various stakeholders.
Proficient in writing maintainable code with good documentation, tests, and structure.
Willingness to learn continuously, share knowledge, communicate effectively, and develop products in close collaboration with others.
