The position of Solution Architect involves making high-level design choices and decisions for software projects.
The Solution Architect will manage the design, development, and implementation of software solutions.
They will translate business needs into technical requirements and guide the software development process.
Responsibilities include defining and documenting application architecture, coaching team members, and maintaining design and code standards.
The architect will serve as a technical liaison among project managers, developers, and stakeholders.
They will create project plans, evaluate new technologies, and maintain a coding tool roadmap.
Requirements:
A BS in Computer Science or a related degree, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in software development.
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in software architecture is necessary.
Experience with legacy software migration and cloud-native technologies is required.
Candidates should be familiar with CI/CD best practices and have the ability to lead architecture and code reviews.
Experience with containerized environments and enterprise-level software development tools is essential.
Understanding of software development processes, including Agile, Scrum, and Test Driven Development, is required.
Proficiency with source control management tools such as GIT is necessary.
Candidates must demonstrate a disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
Familiarity with software development frameworks like Spring and delivery platforms such as Jira and TFS is preferred.
Candidates should possess big picture problem-solving skills and be outside-the-box thinkers.
