They are responsible for driving and managing the technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process.
The role involves engaging with customers to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process and adopting a consultancy role.
Solutions Architects collaborate with the sales team to formulate and execute sales strategies to exceed revenue targets.
They are responsible for technical close plans, evaluations, and workshop design.
Building deep relationships with customers is essential to enable them to become GitLab advocates.
Solutions Architects serve as customer advocates to other GitLab teams, including Product Development, Sales, and Marketing.
They maintain specialty competency in technologies related to GitLab’s market focus through training and certification.
The role requires comprehensive knowledge of the GitLab platform to educate customers on its value proposition.
Continuous professional development is encouraged through training and mentorship.
Solutions Architects will run Value Stream Assessments in their accounts with support from a Senior Solutions Architect.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with technical pre-sales or as a professional in the field of information technology.
Experience with modern software development or operations and their associated technologies is required.
Candidates should have experience with cloud computing and related technologies and practices.
A solid understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle is necessary.
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment is essential.
Candidates must be able to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policy.
Proven experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry is required.
A strong understanding of network management, telco operations, and regional regulatory frameworks is necessary.
Fluency in both Spanish and English is required.
