Description:
GitLab is seeking a Solutions Architect specializing in the telecommunications sector to support customers in the NorNet region.
The Solutions Architect will act as a trusted advisor to GitLab prospects and clients, demonstrating how GitLab solutions meet business requirements.
Responsibilities include driving and managing technology evaluation and validation stages of the sales process, focusing on technical solutions while understanding customer business outcomes.
The role involves engaging with customers to provide technical expertise during the pre-sales process and adopting a consultancy role.
The Solutions Architect will collaborate with the sales team to formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue targets.
They will be responsible for Technical Close Plans and technical evaluations, including POC/POV ownership and workshop design.
Building deep relationships with customers to enable them to become GitLab advocates is essential.
The Solutions Architect will serve as the customer advocate to other GitLab teams, including Product Development, Sales, and Marketing.
Maintaining specialty competency in relevant technologies through training and certification is required.
The role includes educating customers on the value proposition of GitLab and ensuring successful deployment of the platform.
Continuous professional development and running Value Stream Assessments in accounts with support from a Senior Solutions Architect are also part of the job.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience with technical pre-sales or as a professional in the field of information technology.
Experience with modern software development or operations and their associated technologies is required.
Knowledge of cloud computing and related technologies and practices is necessary.
A strong understanding of the end-to-end software development lifecycle is essential.
Candidates should understand continuous integration and continuous deployment.
The ability to travel if needed and comply with the company’s travel policy is required.
Proven experience in a similar role within the telecommunications industry is necessary.
A strong understanding of network management, telco operations, and regional regulatory frameworks is essential.
