Description:
Pinecone is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join their team, focusing on the enterprise market's complex problems.
The role involves working directly with the sales team and channel partners to understand customer needs and strategize on winning sales cycles.
Responsibilities include providing value-based demonstrations, supporting Proof of Concepts, and ultimately closing business.
The Solutions Engineer must be passionate about reinventing the Data Cloud space and thrive in a dynamic environment.
The position requires comfort in both business and technical contexts, interacting with officials and technical audiences.
Key tasks include presenting Pinecone technology to prospects and customers, demonstrating the value of Pinecone technology throughout the sales cycle, and maintaining a deep understanding of competitive technologies.
Collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing is essential to improve Pinecone’s products and marketing.
The position is EST based.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 5-7 years of enterprise experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a pre-sales environment.
Outstanding presentation skills are required for both technical and executive audiences.
A broad range of experience in large-scale Database and/or Data Warehouse technology, ETL, analytics, and cloud technologies is necessary.
Hands-on expertise with SQL and SQL analytics is essential.
The ability to connect customer-specific business problems with Pinecone’s solutions is required.
A broad knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP is preferred.
A university degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related fields, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Skills in Data Science and Data Applications Development, including knowledge of Scala, Python, and JavaScript, are a bonus.
