Description:
The Solutions Engineer at SonarSource will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise to prospects, assisting in evaluating solutions, and supporting the Sales process.
The role involves helping Federal customers understand how Sonar's solutions integrate into their software development life cycle.
Responsibilities include driving technical aspects of pre-sales opportunities, conducting technical presentations and demonstrations, and aiding in product evaluations.
The Solutions Engineer will advise customers on aligning the Sonar solution with their deployment strategy and troubleshoot technical issues faced by potential customers.
Beyond the sale, the Engineer will ensure successful product adoption and growth post-purchase, collaborating with Customer Success and Support teams.
Additionally, the role involves educating existing customers on advanced product capabilities.
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in software development or DevOps engineering to understand Sonar's products and user experience.
Previous experience in supporting Federal software sales, preferably in the DevOps/OpenSource sector.
Knowledge of software delivery practices within the US Federal Government, including military branches, commands, the intelligence community, and civilian agencies.
Strong presentation skills and technical understanding of software-related compliance standards in the public sector (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD STIG, NIST SP 800-218).
Ability to tackle complex technical issues, troubleshoot, develop solutions, and effectively communicate them verbally and in writing.
Proven teamwork skills, including receiving and providing feedback and knowledge sharing.
A proactive attitude towards challenging the status quo, leading improvements, and contributing to innovations.
