Description:

  • The Solutions Engineer at SonarSource will play a crucial role in providing technical expertise to prospects, assisting in evaluating solutions, and supporting the Sales process.
  • The role involves helping Federal customers understand how Sonar's solutions integrate into their software development life cycle.
  • Responsibilities include driving technical aspects of pre-sales opportunities, conducting technical presentations and demonstrations, and aiding in product evaluations.
  • The Solutions Engineer will advise customers on aligning the Sonar solution with their deployment strategy and troubleshoot technical issues faced by potential customers.
  • Beyond the sale, the Engineer will ensure successful product adoption and growth post-purchase, collaborating with Customer Success and Support teams.
  • Additionally, the role involves educating existing customers on advanced product capabilities.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in software development or DevOps engineering to understand Sonar's products and user experience.
  • Previous experience in supporting Federal software sales, preferably in the DevOps/OpenSource sector.
  • Knowledge of software delivery practices within the US Federal Government, including military branches, commands, the intelligence community, and civilian agencies.
  • Strong presentation skills and technical understanding of software-related compliance standards in the public sector (e.g., FedRAMP, DoD STIG, NIST SP 800-218).
  • Ability to tackle complex technical issues, troubleshoot, develop solutions, and effectively communicate them verbally and in writing.
  • Proven teamwork skills, including receiving and providing feedback and knowledge sharing.
  • A proactive attitude towards challenging the status quo, leading improvements, and contributing to innovations.
