Description:
Craft is seeking an experienced and motivated Sr. Data Engineer to join a team responsible for a key product within the organization.
The role involves building and optimizing data pipelines, extracting, analyzing, and modeling diverse datasets, designing easily testable and maintainable software, and supporting the Data Engineering Lead in setting Data Strategies and vision.
Responsibilities also include keeping track of emerging technologies, working on extendable data processing systems, and applying Machine learning techniques to extract value from data sets.
The position offers the opportunity to work with multiple teams, each with specific qualifications and needs, and encourages growth and development.
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
3+ years of experience with Python.
Experience in developing, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, fault tolerance, and observability of data pipelines in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and solid software engineering practices.
Knowledge and experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Databricks (nice to have).
Demonstrated curiosity, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code approach and fundamental knowledge of data engineering techniques.
Familiarity with technologies in the current tech stack: Python, PySpark, Pandas, SQL (PostgreSQL), Airflow, Docker, Databricks, AWS, Terraform.
