• The engineer will take ownership of database performance tuning, scaling strategies, and resource optimization.
• A deep understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS, is necessary for integrating database services into the platform’s infrastructure.
• The role includes developing and managing robust database backup, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaboration with engineering teams is essential for seamless integration of databases into applications and services.

Requirements:

• A BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject is required.
• Proven experience in database management with a focus on high performance and scalability is essential.
• A deep understanding and practical experience with Postgres, Oracle, ElasticSearch, and Cassandra is necessary.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in dynamic environments are required.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with multifunctional teams are essential.
• The candidate must have a proven ability to provide technical leadership and mentor less experienced team members.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and learn rapidly is crucial.
• Proficiency in English or Spanish is a plus.
