Description:
Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable infrastructure on AWS using Terraform, Kubernetes, and other relevant tools.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient and automated application deployments.
Implement strategic architecture, systems, and projects on the roadmap.
Responsible for influencing technical decisions within the team and supporting cross-functional teams.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application-related issues with the ability to triage and identify appropriate urgency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement infrastructure security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Design and Implement monitoring and alerting solutions to ensure the health, performance, and security of the infrastructure.
Identify and develop automation candidates for improving infrastructure provisioning, CICD, and serverless architecture deployments.
Partner with engineering teams to be a “trusted advisor” for DevOps and implementing established architecture patterns.
Participate in on-call rotations and provide support during incidents.
Champion infrastructure code quality, reusability, scalability security, and help make strategic software architecture decisions with the cloud architect.
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in DevOps practices and technologies, and proactively recommend improvements.
Conduct systems design and infrastructure reviews.
Identify and design automation of cloud infrastructure processes to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to other team members, sharing your expertise in AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and monitoring and security tools.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (3-6 years) working with cloud and infrastructure in a live operations setting.
Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong knowledge of cloud security tools and technologies, such as CloudTrail, Security Hub, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center.
Familiarity with various programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python) and frameworks.
Knowledge of secure SDLC practices and methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative solutions to complex security challenges.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) are a plus.
