Description:
As a Front-end WordPress developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website.
Qualified candidates will be expected to have an advanced working knowledge of WordPress, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript as well as hands-on experience with user interface and user experience (UI/UX) design.
Your duties will include turning wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code and building high-quality UI components with scalability in mind.
You will have an understanding of the integration of plugins such as WooCommerce.
You will also be responsible for implementing new features to our WordPress website and performing routine maintenance and performance optimizations.
In this role, you'll get to build web applications with web development best practices.
You will transform app designs into front-end code with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You will work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.
You will gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design.
You will debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations.
You will manage the on-site search engine optimization (SEO).
You will write high-quality, scalable, and reusable code.
You will stay plugged into emerging technologies and industry trends.
You will perform other ad hoc duties related to the role assigned.
Requirements:
You must have at least 4+ years of experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
You should have worked on at least 5 websites in the past, and links to sample works or a portfolio are requested.
A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
You must have experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, GSAP, and Bootstrap.
Proficiency with HTML5, including semantic HTML5 elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA is necessary.
You should be familiar with CSS preprocessors such as SASS, Less, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS.
Expertise in ACF and Gutenberg is required.
Basic proficiency in Google Analytics and Tag Manager is expected.
You must have working knowledge of SEO principles.
Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack is necessary.
Basic proficiency with Figma is required.
You should have experience with cross-browser compatibility testing.
Experience with responsive web design is necessary.
Familiarity with W3C and W3GAC HTML standards is required.
You must have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform your duties.
You should be willing to install next-generation endpoint protection on your computer.
You must be willing to undergo a character reference check and submit documents for application processing.
You must be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there.
You should be willing to work in US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST which corresponds to 12am-9am PH time, if not DST).
