Description:
The Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer position at Invitae involves working in the Patients and Providers Engineering team to develop full-stack applications for clients.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing full-stack software components, collaborating with product and design teams, managing project priorities and deadlines, participating in on-call rotations, translating user requirements into system designs, mentoring team members, and balancing operations, maintenance, and new projects.
The role requires owning and delivering projects, identifying solutions to complex problems, working across teams, and demonstrating sound technical decision-making and communication skills.
The technical stack includes AWS, Python, Django, Typescript, React.JS, PHP, and .NET, with proficiency in React.js and Typescript.
The position also involves utilizing UX design and development skills, deep technical knowledge of web application architectures, and experience with modern tooling and best practices.
Requirements:
A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with no experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
Demonstrated experience with React.js and Typescript.
Proficiency in a technical stack from infrastructure to application code with strong full stack development experience.
UX design and development skills, deep technical knowledge around web application architectures, protocols, APIs, and developer tools.
Proven ability to design and deliver complex and maintainable software systems and features.
Experience with modern tooling and best practices including CI/CD, observability, containerization, and distributed event/streaming platforms.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills especially across distributed teams.
