Remote Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer

Description:

• The Sr. Full Stack Software Engineer position at Invitae involves working in the Patients and Providers Engineering team to develop full-stack applications for clients.
• Responsibilities include designing and implementing full-stack software components, collaborating with product and design teams, managing project priorities and deadlines, participating in on-call rotations, translating user requirements into system designs, mentoring team members, and balancing operations, maintenance, and new projects.
• The role requires owning and delivering projects, identifying solutions to complex problems, working across teams, and demonstrating sound technical decision-making and communication skills.
• The technical stack includes AWS, Python, Django, Typescript, React.JS, PHP, and .NET, with proficiency in React.js and Typescript.
• The position also involves utilizing UX design and development skills, deep technical knowledge of web application architectures, and experience with modern tooling and best practices.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 3 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with no experience, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
• Demonstrated experience with React.js and Typescript.
• Proficiency in a technical stack from infrastructure to application code with strong full stack development experience.
• UX design and development skills, deep technical knowledge around web application architectures, protocols, APIs, and developer tools.
• Proven ability to design and deliver complex and maintainable software systems and features.
• Experience with modern tooling and best practices including CI/CD, observability, containerization, and distributed event/streaming platforms.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills especially across distributed teams.
