Wild Alaskan Company is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to join their fully-remote team.
The company's mission is to accelerate humanity's transition to sustainable food systems by fostering relationships between people, wild seafood, and the planet.
The Senior Software Engineer will work on building technology to support the efficient production, access, and distribution of food globally.
Responsibilities include developing web applications using Laravel and Vue.js, collaborating with stakeholders, writing clean code, conducting code reviews, optimizing application performance, troubleshooting issues, staying updated with industry trends, and ensuring application security.
The position involves participating in Agile development methodologies, collaborating with the QA team, and continuously monitoring and improving application security.

Requirements:

Mastery of Laravel and Vue.js with 8+ years of experience.
Strong proficiency in OOP, TDD, RESTful APIs, and single-page applications.
Proficiency in front-end web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and writing efficient SQL queries.
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), deployment environments (e.g., AWS), and containerization (e.g., Docker).
Strong understanding of database design, frontend performance optimization, and identifying technical debt.
Ability to plan and execute incremental improvements, collaborate effectively, work independently, and stay updated with industry trends.

The position offers a starting salary range of $130,000 - $170,000, based on skills and experience.
