RecargaPay is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with a focus on security to build and maintain platforms in compliance with required security levels.
The candidate should be proactive, motivated, and curious, with a strong sense of responsibility and a passion for security and compliance.
Responsibilities include leading security initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities, ensuring compliance, and promoting best practices from solution design to deployment.
The role emphasizes strengthening the security posture of cloud services and other platforms, with a focus on automation and empowering teams to adopt security autonomously.
The ideal candidate will have a security mindset, commitment to cloud security, and the ability to assess infrastructure security posture continuously.
Collaboration with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and development processes is essential.
The candidate should possess critical thinking skills to evaluate technical trade-offs and enhance security without impacting scalability and resilience.
Expertise in network and perimeter security, including WAF, CDN, Security Groups, VPCs, encryption, and authentication/authorization processes is required.
Continuous monitoring of trends, threats, and new security practices is expected to ensure platform evolution.
Experience with tools for monitoring, anomaly detection, and incident response is necessary, along with promoting a security culture within the organization.

Requirements:

Strong experience in Cloud Computing security (AWS) and its respective services, including threat modeling and pentesting.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Terraform, API Gateway, encryption, and pipelines.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and building security guardrails and policies as code.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in dynamic environments.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proven experience in technical leadership and mentoring less experienced team members.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and quickly learn various technologies.
A Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
Proficiency in English or Spanish is a plus.
