Description:

Versapay is seeking a talented Site Reliability Engineer to join their growing team.
The role involves managing, monitoring, and operating products and their infrastructure in development, testing, and production environments.
The engineer will play a critical part in the software development life cycle (SDLC) and lead work that affects complex systems and mission-critical areas of applications.
Responsibilities include building, enhancing, testing, and operating automation technologies to improve products and infrastructure, utilizing Azure DevOps and JIRA.
The engineer will participate in system benchmarking, capacity analysis, and sizing activities, collaborating with product analysts, customer care, pre-sales engineers, and core product engineers.
Researching new technologies and applications for integration into the tech stack is also a key responsibility.
Participation in PCI DSS, SOC1, and SOC2 compliance planning and activities is expected.
The role may require coordinating with the team after hours and being part of an on-call rotation.

Requirements:

Candidates must have over 7 years of experience supporting production Azure cloud environments with Windows Servers.
A related technical University Degree or Diploma or relevant work experience is required.
Experience with Azure, Azure SQL, Azure App Services, Infrastructure as Code, and Windows Servers is essential.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL, AWS, and Linux servers is a significant asset but not mandatory.
The ideal candidate should have a bias towards action, be hands-on, and possess a drive to deliver results.
Comfort with chaos and a desire for autonomy and ownership over projects is important.
Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for working with cross-functional teams.
Candidates should be tech-savvy with a good understanding of web applications and other technologies.
Analytical skills to make data-driven decisions and solve real problems from multiple perspectives are required.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $125,000 - $145,000 per year.
