Remote Sr Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Description:

• The Sr Software Development Engineer in Test (Sr SDET) will be responsible for automating the software quality assurance and release management process to support rapid product and company growth at Equip.
• The role involves collaborating with product managers to clarify requirements, derive test cases, and build an automated testing suite for front-end, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing detailed test plans and test cases, creating functional and integration tests for complex business requirements, promoting test-driven development (TDD), and monitoring product quality metrics.
• The Sr SDET will work closely with a globally distributed team, analyze test results, track defects, and innovate best automation and continuous testing practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, quality assurance/engineering in web and web services.
• Proficiency in Java, JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver, or similar programming languages.
• Experience with GIT, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools, as well as testing Web Services/API endpoints using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter.
• Strong knowledge of software QA approaches, SQL, scripting, and experience working with AWS.
• Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
