Description:

  • We are seeking a motivated and excellent full stack Sr. Software Engineer to join our engineering team in delivering innovative solutions while improving and maintaining the quality of our products.
  • The engineer will be responsible for developing clean, scalable, and testable solutions primarily focusing on PHP, Node, and React deployed in an AWS environment.
  • Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in code quality, code delivery, documentation, and software development best practices.
  • Act as an active team member and role model in designing, developing scalable, high-performance software solutions and maintaining the same.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code in PHP, Node or Typescript, and React.
  • Work on projects that span multiple areas of the product, coordinating with architects and leading engineers to ensure cohesive and integrated solutions.
  • Independently define, design, and communicate work within and across all areas of ownership, effectively articulating technical solutions and strategies.
  • Actively participate in code and design reviews, providing mentorship and guidance to other team members to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to or lead initiatives for process improvement, enhancing team efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Be an exemplar in code quality, documentation, and software development best practices.
  • Write and maintain technical documentation.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance and ensure issues are resolved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Participate actively in Agile/Scrum teams to ensure effective project execution.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Strong experience in software design, development, and architecture, particularly in AWS environments.
  • Expertise in PHP.
  • Expertise using docker containers, Kubernetes, CI/CD.
  • Experience in Node and React and other relevant technologies.
  • Experience developing Rest and/or SOAP APIs.
  • Experience working on Relational database and SQL.
  • Experience mentoring engineers to produce elegant, maintainable code.
  • Experience in implementing high-volume, high-performance real-time systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Experience and passion for enterprise software development practices and patterns.
  • A self-starter with a passion for technology and innovation.
  • Strong experience with modern process best practices (Agile, Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Openness to pragmatic approaches and willingness to challenge conventional best practices to achieve success.
  • Willingness to work in legacy PHP, Node, and React codebases as necessary.
