Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will develop components of BioIntelliSense’s patient monitoring software, BioDashboard.
This software integrates data from various software and hardware interfaces, analyzes them using complex multi-parameter algorithms, and displays the results on its FDA-cleared software interface.
The role requires self-motivated individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset to create compelling software systems that improve patient quality of life.
The tech stack includes Microsoft .NET 8 for backend API development and Blazor (WebAssembly) for front-end development.
AWS cloud is used for cloud infrastructure, with MongoDB as the primary datastore and Confluent as the streaming platform.
Responsibilities include writing highly-performant, scalable, and secure software with C# (.NET) for cloud-native deployments to AWS.
The engineer will lead, mentor, and improve the BioDashboard software team, contributing to a positive DevOps culture.
The role involves achieving good automated unit test coverage, automating deployments, and maintaining the BioDashboard infrastructure.
The engineer will create necessary CI/CD pipelines, take ownership of projects, provide rotational after-hours support, and offer technical sales support as needed.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of production software development experience with modern .NET and C#, along with web development experience (WebAssembly, WebSockets, HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript).
Production experience with high-scale SaaS and/or distributed systems built for the cloud (Azure/GCP/AWS) and infrastructure deployment with TerraForm is necessary.
Solid database experience with SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar is required.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills with team members and customers are essential.
Experience in horizontal and vertical scaling of cloud-based systems is needed.
Candidates must be able to collaborate with customers in both pre-sales and post-sales environments.
The ability to self-manage and complete projects in a timely manner is required.
A background in Healthcare Information Technology is preferred.
Understanding of HIPAA requirements and compliance is necessary.
Knowledge of medical technology industry tools and standards, including web services, APIs, HL7, and FHIR, is required.
Experience with Epic, Cerner, and similar EHR systems, as well as healthcare-related integration support and maintenance, is preferred.
