Description:

The Sr. Software Engineer I position at Flywire involves building and maintaining the platform supporting the money movement of the payment engine.
Responsibilities include designing new functionalities, improving current capabilities, and ensuring high-quality code within defined timeframes.
The role requires collaborative problem-solving, pragmatic design, and a commitment to building quality products.
The engineer will work on challenging bugs, production issues, and drive change and improvement in the development lifecycle.
Collaboration with global teams, contributing to the product vision, and helping fellow developers grow their skills are essential aspects of the role.

Requirements:

4+ years of experience in web application development.
Proficiency in designing, developing, and supporting scalable, performant web applications and distributed systems.
Familiarity with TDD, BDD, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), relational databases, and object-oriented fundamentals.
Strong understanding of disciplines in cross-functional teams, such as QAs, Product, and SREs.
Fluency in English, as it is the working language of the company.
Experience in FinTech or the payment industry is appreciated.
Ability to deliver high-quality code, learn quickly, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
