Description:
The Sr. Software Engineer-Linux will be responsible for building robust, fault-tolerant, low footprint sensor software on various Linux environments such as Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat Enterprise.
They will design and write high-quality, high-performance code in a multi-threaded/multi-process environment to integrate customer data into the XDR platform.
The role involves continuously improving the performance of existing sensor software to optimize host resources.
The engineer will also be tasked with scripting the deployment of the Linux sensor in customer environments and independently resolving sensor-related customer cases.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or a Master's/PhD with 2+ years of experience in cyber security-related fields.
Proficiency in at least two of the following languages: Python, C/C++, Shell script, Go, Ruby, or Java.
Familiarity with network protocols such as VXLAN, ICMP, TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, and HTTP.
Experience in performance tuning on Linux systems.
Knowledge of Network IDS, IPS, and Network Security Monitoring engines like Suricata is a plus.
Must be a great team player with a can-do attitude.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal communication skills.
Previous startup working experience is advantageous.
