As a remote Sr. Software Engineer on the Core Platform team, you will work on Medical Coding and collaborate with product, design, and machine learning teams.
Your responsibilities will include designing and building services, APIs, and tools for internal applications and external SaaS products.
You will create and maintain backend services, deploy machine learning at scale, and develop processing pipelines involving machine learning and large language models.
The role involves productionizing models developed by the ML team, troubleshooting issues, and mentoring junior team members.
You will participate in design discussions, planning sessions, and code reviews, while also communicating complex technical concepts to less technical users.

Requirements:

A Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required.
You must have 5+ years of work experience in software development, data engineering, or machine learning.
Significant experience in deploying trained systems to production is necessary.
Experience with backend web services, schema design, and API implementation in a distributed environment is required.
Strong skills in concurrent, parallel, and asynchronous programming in Python are essential.
Familiarity with FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, and Postgres is required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with meticulous attention to detail are necessary.
