Description:

Join the Walrus Core team at Mysten Labs, where you will be building the company's newest distributed system: Walrus, an efficient decentralized storage network.
The Core team is dedicated to developing the software that powers Walrus’ storage nodes and its infrastructure.
You will be responsible for the safety-critical core of the Walrus network, aiming to make Walrus more useful to builders while maintaining high standards for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
Your role will involve enhancing the performance and reliability of the Walrus network, contributing to core protocol design, and ensuring secure and efficient network operations.
You will design, implement, and maintain Walrus core, including storage node, client software, smart contracts, and toolchains that power Walrus and its infrastructure.
Collaborate closely with research, cryptography, production, security teams, and Sui core teams to keep the Walrus network secure, performant, and reliable.
Optimize existing systems for scalability, efficiency, and reliability.
Collaborate with other teams at Mysten Labs to integrate new features and technologies.

Requirements:

You must have 5 years of experience in systems and/or network programming, ideally in Rust, C, or C++.
You should have experience designing and developing systems in areas such as distributed systems and consensus protocols, storage/database systems, high-performance systems, or networking protocols.
You need production experience in operating and managing production systems, with proficiency in system monitoring and alerting, and a strong focus on reliability.
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
You must have a proven ability to drive complex projects to completion.
