As a Sr. Staff/Software Engineer, you will contribute to the core tech stack for the Akash Network, the world’s first truly decentralized cloud service.
You will have the opportunity to expand your scope and help build the Web 3.0 decentralized infrastructure of the future.
Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and testing new features in the core tech stack of Akash Network, primarily focusing on Node and Provider.
You will implement resilient and scalable systems to achieve high reliability for the Akash blockchain and contribute to building the ops pipeline and documentation.
You will also think creatively about attack vectors, failure handling, and other non-functional requirements.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of professional software development experience.
A minimum of 5+ years working in Golang is required.
Experience with DevOps workflows and development using the Kubernetes SDK is necessary.
Notable open-source contributions on GitHub are expected.
Candidates should have experience building distributed systems using microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
A strong understanding of key security concepts, including cryptography, key/certificate management, identity, and access management, is required.
Strong communication skills are essential, particularly in giving and receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting.
The ability to stay communicative while working remotely and asynchronously is a must.
Nice to Have:
Past experience with C, C++, or a Master's degree or higher in Computer Science (or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience) in software engineering is preferred.
Familiarity with bash and make is a plus.
Familiarity with databases is beneficial.
Familiarity with common message brokers, such as Redis, is advantageous.
Benefits:
The salary range for this position is between $250,000 and $500,000 a year.
