• As a Sr. Staff/Software Engineer, you will contribute to the core tech stack for the Akash Network, the world’s first truly decentralized cloud service.
• You will have the opportunity to expand your scope and help build the Web 3.0 decentralized infrastructure of the future.
• Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and testing new features in the core tech stack of Akash Network, primarily focusing on Node and Provider.
• You will implement resilient and scalable systems to achieve high reliability for the Akash blockchain and contribute to building the ops pipeline and documentation.
• You will also think creatively about attack vectors, failure handling, and other non-functional requirements.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• A minimum of 5+ years working in Golang is required.
• Experience with DevOps workflows and development using the Kubernetes SDK is necessary.
• Notable open-source contributions on GitHub are expected.
• Candidates should have experience building distributed systems using microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• A strong understanding of key security concepts, including cryptography, key/certificate management, identity, and access management, is required.
• Strong communication skills are essential, particularly in giving and receiving constructive feedback in a collaborative setting.
• The ability to stay communicative while working remotely and asynchronously is a must.

Nice to Have:

• Past experience with C, C++, or a Master's degree or higher in Computer Science (or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience) in software engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with bash and make is a plus.
• Familiarity with databases is beneficial.
• Familiarity with common message brokers, such as Redis, is advantageous.
