• The responsibilities of the Staff Backend Engineer include building new services using Node.JS, designing scalable systems, articulating a long-term vision for backend systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to turn product and technical visions into tangible roadmaps.
• The ideal candidate should have at least 10+ years of software engineering experience, expertise in designing and maintaining production services, and a passion for building an open financial system.
• Nice to have qualifications include experience with rapid company growth, A/B testing frameworks, Blockchain technology, microservices, AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB, and building financial or security systems.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services with a service-oriented architecture.
• Proficiency in writing high-quality, well-tested code.
• Passion for building an open financial system.

• Base salary range for the role is $215K - $250K, with eligibility for participation in Magic Eden’s equity plan.
