Remote Staff Backend Software Engineer

Description:

• Allergan Data Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to join their team focused on transforming the Allergan Aesthetics beauty business at AbbVie.
• The successful candidate will work on innovative technologies like the Allē platform, which caters to millions of consumers, aesthetics providers, and colleagues in the US.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with key stakeholders, ensuring operational stability, championing code quality, conducting design and code reviews, and mentoring software engineers.
• The role involves working on strategic architecture, systems, and projects with a 6-12 month horizon, negotiating technical decisions, and contributing to software architecture decisions.
• Required to have at least 10+ years of experience as a Backend or Full Stack Software Engineer, strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, GraphQL, Microservices, Event Driven Architecture, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, data processing applications, data structures, algorithms, design patterns, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, code testing, DevOps tools, and exposure to React, NextJS, and React Native.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Backend or Full Stack Software Engineer.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, GraphQL.
• Experience with Microservices, Event Driven Architecture, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with data processing applications, data structures, algorithms, design patterns.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, code testing, DevOps tools.
• Exposure to React, NextJS, React Native is a bonus.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders, ensure operational stability, champion code quality, conduct design and code reviews, mentor software engineers.
