Description:

The position is for a hands-on Data Engineer with expertise in data integrations, Spark processing, and data lake development.
The successful candidate will create secure and efficient data pipelines and support the enterprise data warehouse.
Responsibilities include implementing data integrations, developing data-oriented web applications, participating in project design and development, and utilizing agile and DevOps principles.
The Data Engineer will uphold quality and availability standards, mentor team members, and engage in data design discussions within the GoodLeap ecosystem.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6-10 years of full-time experience in Data Analysis and/or Software Development.
Experience with end-to-end reporting and analytics technology, including data warehousing (SQL, NoSQL) and BI/Visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Excel) is required.
A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is necessary.
Proficiency in DataBricks/Spark processing and relational (SQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elastic Search) is essential.
Experience with orchestrating data pipelines using tools like Airflow is required.
Strong knowledge of open-source web frameworks (e.g., Vue/React) is necessary.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of performance implications and scalability of code.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (IAM, Cognito, EC2, S3, RDS, Cloud Formation) is required.
Familiarity with messaging paradigms and serverless technologies (Lambda, SQS, SNS, SES) is necessary.
Experience working with serverless applications on public clouds (e.g., AWS) and maintaining large, complex codebases is required.
Benefits:
The salary for this position ranges from $160,000 to $210,000 per year.
The role may also be eligible for a bonus and equity.
