Description:

• Machinify is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to enhance their AI-powered software products that improve healthcare claims and payment operations.
• The role involves building machine learning models for large health plans to identify and audit claims errors, including fraud.
• The Staff Data Scientist will work on claim selection models that help audit a larger percentage of claims, recovering significant amounts of wasted medical spend.
• Responsibilities include mastering claim audits, curating labeled data, developing ML models, measuring model performance, refining data pipelines, and engaging with clients to align model insights with business needs.

Requirements:

• Candidates should have a strong background in solving real-world business problems through data-driven optimization and machine learning modeling.
• Experience in measuring and optimizing the direct business impact of work is essential.
• Proficiency in SQL and handling large-scale data is required, along with comfort in at least one programming language such as Python or R.
• Applicants must have experience building machine learning models using modern approaches like Neural Nets or Tree-ensembles, including decision-making regarding supervised labels, optimization metrics, and useful features.
