Jobgether is seeking a Staff Engineer - Backend to join a rapidly growing AI-driven organization in India.
This role involves taking ownership of critical systems and driving innovation across large-scale, high-impact projects.
The Staff Engineer will design scalable and secure backend services, solve complex technical challenges, and lead with hands-on expertise.
The position requires collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to shape the future of financial and conversational AI technologies.
Key accountabilities include architecting and implementing scalable backend systems, leading the development of technical solutions, and optimizing backend infrastructure for reliability and performance.
The role also involves guiding junior engineers and promoting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, as well as driving the adoption of Test-Driven Development (TDD).

Requirements:

Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in backend engineering, specifically in building large-scale, distributed systems.
Expertise in at least one programming language such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), or Python is required.
Proven experience with microservices architecture, real-time technologies (e.g., WebSockets), and scalable system design is essential.
Hands-on experience with NoSQL and relational databases, along with a strong understanding of data protection and security standards, is necessary.
A background in startup environments and experience in building products from the ground up is preferred.
Familiarity with infrastructure design, server performance optimization, and cloud-native development is important.
Bonus qualifications include experience with AI model integration, React, or previous exposure to fintech applications.
