- The Staff Engineer role is for a motivated individual with extensive experience in cloud-native distributed systems.
- The position involves building tools to automate manual processes and improve workflows across multiple engineering teams.
- Responsibilities include developing core platform features using Golang, Python, PostgreSQL, Kafka, and AWS services.
- The role requires collaboration with various teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and to ensure system performance and security.
- The engineer will influence best practices in software development and testing within the organization.
- The position is focused on back-end systems, with no requirement to write JavaScript.
- The tech stack includes Golang, Python, SQL, AWS, Kubernetes, and more.
Requirements:
- Candidates must have 10+ years of hands-on professional experience with distributed systems engineering and asynchronous processing.
- A minimum of 5 years of coding experience with Golang, including shipping production systems.
- At least 5 years of experience with core technologies in a cloud environment, including Linux, Bash scripting, Kafka, and AWS.
- 2+ years of coding experience with Python is required.
- Experience with application security, secure development, and cryptography is necessary.
- Strong capabilities in testing and test automation are essential.
- Familiarity with SQL, NoSQL, and key-value stores is required.
- Excellent asynchronous communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Experience in regulated industries, particularly healthcare, is a plus but not required.
