Description:
At Movement Labs, we are leading the way in blockchain technology with an open modular framework for building and deploying Move-based infrastructure, applications, and blockchains in any distributed environment.
As a Staff Engineer in the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team, your role will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, scalability, observability, and performance of our infrastructure and networks.
You will serve as an advocate, mentor, and architect in the company, ensuring that SRE has a significant impact on our product engineering efforts.
You will shape the resilience, efficiency, and scalability of our services.
You will oversee our platforms and ensure that our release processes are running smoothly.
You will innovate and enhance our infrastructure platform to increase self-service, improve cost optimization, and reduce manual tasks.
You will champion best practices in site reliability to cultivate a culture of high operational standards.
You will lead the design, implementation, and operation of highly available and scalable infrastructure for our blockchain platforms.
You will develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response strategies to proactively identify and address system issues.
You will continuously improve system reliability through automation and process enhancements.
You will participate in on-call rotations to provide support for our networks.
Requirements:
You must have a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience, preferably on a release engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, SRE, or platform team.
You should have experience in driving initiatives to achieve engineering and operational excellence.
You must have the ability to manage and deliver multiple streams of initiatives simultaneously.
You should possess deep knowledge of modern cloud infrastructure and the cloud-native approach, e.g. Kubernetes, Docker, cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and tools like Terraform or Ansible.
You must have practical experience in shell scripting and proficiency in at least one higher-level language such as Python, Golang, or a similar language.
You should have experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting, and observability systems.
You must have strong communication skills, including the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
