Lunar Gridshare is transforming how we use and manage energy in the home and on the grid.

The Staff Software Engineer will join a small, focused, and collaborative team of talented developers.
The role will primarily focus on the Typescript+React-based web front-end of the platform, with the ability to work on supporting Typescript back-end services being beneficial.
Responsibilities include taking initiative to ensure delivery of high stakes and/or time-sensitive deliverables, coordinating across multiple teams to ensure delivery, raising standards, and ensuring consistency.
The engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of highly available systems and contribute to the continual improvement of development best practices.
The team supports growth in knowledge across multiple parts of the stack according to individual interests and abilities, with a strong tradition of using functional programming and type systems.
Requirements:
Expert level in Typescript, React, and front-end development is required.
Experience working in a functional programming paradigm or openness to doing so is necessary.
Working experience with Unix-like operating systems is essential.
Candidates should enjoy working in a smaller team where they can see the huge impact of their work.
Autonomy and the ability to manage workload and deadlines are important traits for applicants.
Optional but useful qualifications include experience mentoring other developers and providing leadership on technical decisions, experience with AWS (particularly serverless architecture), and the ability to work independently by assessing the technical landscape.
Candidates should also be able to engage with multiple technical stakeholders and teams to find common needs and themes.
