Remote Staff Fullstack Engineer

Description:

• Lumos is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to lead the team in rewriting the IT playbook and developing critical customer-facing features.
• The role involves solving challenging technical problems across the stack, including frontend (React, Typescript), communication layer (GraphQL, Apollo), and backend (Python, Flask, sqlalchemy).
• Responsibilities include driving end-to-end development of complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, defining a long-term technical vision, and building scalable systems.
• The Staff Fullstack Engineer will be a go-to technical resource, set best practices, mentor engineers, become an expert in the Lumos product, and participate in growing the engineering team.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React and Typescript, as well as backend technologies like Python, Flask, and sqlalchemy.
• Experience in developing customer-facing features and driving end-to-end development of complex projects.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, define technical vision, and build scalable systems.
• Strong mentoring and leadership skills to uplevel the engineering team.
• Willingness to become an expert in the Lumos product and contribute to refining product requirements and team vision.
• Experience in interviewing candidates and refining recruiting processes.
