Description:
Olo is a leading SaaS platform that accelerates digital transformation in the restaurant industry.
The Staff Security Engineer will strengthen defenses and safeguard systems that facilitate quick and secure food ordering.
The role involves identifying risks, analyzing data, and developing strategic mitigation measures.
Responsibilities include defining architectural and technology standards for information, system, and data security.
The engineer will create and update security architecture diagrams and processes using industry-standard frameworks.
The position requires writing and contributing to architecture RFC documentation.
The engineer will coach other engineers on developing security automation to support workflows.
Leading security practices for Kubernetes clusters, serverless architectures, and API guidelines is essential.
The role includes securing AWS IAM and other AWS services using Terraform.
The engineer will perform evaluations of tooling and provide recommendations based on cost/benefit analysis and risk posture.
Proactively investigating atypical traffic and logs to introduce new security mitigations is required.
The engineer will lead incident response efforts, including triage, investigation, and management.
Training other engineers on evaluating and tuning security-related dashboarding and alerting is part of the role.
The engineer will drive the implementation of new technologies, processes, and automation of security activities.
Developing scalable and secure solutions that meet customer needs is expected.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external parties to introduce risk mitigation controls is necessary.
The engineer will build and contribute to supporting documentation and runbooks.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in Blue Team, Security Operations, Security Engineering, Security Architecture, DevOps, or Operations.
Experience in developing and leading a threat hunting program is required.
Candidates should have experience mentoring and leading security team members in incident response and threat detection.
Proven experience in developing and leading incident response, remediation, and mitigation activities is necessary.
Experience with Kubernetes, container, and microservices technologies is required.
Candidates must have experience architecting, deploying, maintaining, and administering various security technologies.
Proficiency with cloud providers and Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation is necessary.
Candidates should be knowledgeable about AWS security best practices.
Experience with automation, development, or scripting is required.
Familiarity with Application Security, modern web protocols, and Web Application Firewalls is necessary.
Experience with SIEM platforms is required.

The estimated compensation range for this position is $162k-220k annually, depending on experience and location.
