The Staff Software Developer will spend approximately half of their time coding and the other half on architectural design, technical communication, documentation, mentorship, and collaboration.

Proficiency in full-stack development is required, including backend services, front-end UIs, database schemas, and deployment pipelines.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and designing for scalability, reliability, and maintainability is necessary.
Candidates should have a natural inclination for mentorship and team development, leading by example in code quality and collaboration.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills are needed, with experience working closely with product managers and stakeholders.
A strategic mindset and systems thinking approach to connect architectural decisions to business goals are important.
Clear and empathetic communication skills are required, along with resilience, curiosity, and a growth-oriented attitude.
Benefits:
The target annual salary for this role ranges from $170,000 to $185,000 CAD, based on experience and contributions.
Employees have access to stock options and a $3,000 annual learning budget for professional and personal development.
The position offers fully remote work within Canada and up to 6 weeks of international work per year.
Employees benefit from a two-week company-wide closure at year-end, self-directed vacation, and an extra Friday off monthly from February to November.
Comprehensive health benefits for employees and their families are available from day one.
The company offers a GRSP matching program with contributions matched up to 2% of salary.
Parental leave includes a 16-week top-up beyond EI benefits, regardless of the role in expanding the family.
Acuity Insights promotes a caring, inclusive environment that values work-life balance and continuous learning.
