Dune is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their applications, responsible for ensuring a top-notch user experience on dune.com.
The role involves driving the technical vision and architecture of Dune's applications in alignment with business goals and performance metrics.
Collaboration with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers is essential to develop and launch robust features that enhance user interactions.
Optimizing application performance to minimize downtime and latency is a key responsibility.
Improving the content browsing experience by implementing new features and enhancing existing ones.
Elevating the experience for users creating and consuming queries and dashboards is a crucial aspect of the role.
Writing high-quality, well-tested TypeScript code focusing on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
Mentoring junior engineers and championing best practices in software development to foster continuous improvement and technical excellence.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a back-end engineer with a strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects and drive software development cycles from inception to deployment.
Extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure management, specifically AWS and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in building scalable, high-performance web applications.
Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and GraphQL, with familiarity with modern frontend frameworks like Next.js.
Experience in optimizing applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, thriving in a fully distributed team environment.
