Description:

  • As a Staff Software Engineer in Backend, you will advocate and coach your team while solving backend challenges, engaging in hands-on coding, and scaling product success in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • The role requires a deep understanding of backend engineering, with a focus on performance and scalability, as well as the ability to identify and build the right abstractions to support other engineers.
  • You will help lead and potentially manage a team of backend engineers, collaborate on the technical vision, and lead discussions on complex projects.
  • Continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and systems is essential to enhance code base scalability and team productivity.
  • You will also be responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7 years of backend engineering experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of technical leadership experience, including leading and/or managing teams.
  • A proven track record of shipping high-quality products and leading projects at scale is required.
  • You must have the ability to translate business and product ideas into engineering solutions.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced environment and a commitment to continuous growth and mastery of your craft is essential.
