Description:

Mysten Labs is focused on creating foundational infrastructure to accelerate the adoption of decentralized protocols based on blockchain technologies.
The Data Platform team develops indexing solutions that support high-throughput blockchain data consumption, including first-party applications, data ingestion frameworks, and RPC node services.
The role involves balancing high-level architectural vision, understanding end-to-end application flows, hands-on database performance optimizations, constant experimentation, and extensive coding.
Responsibilities include building a robust, high-performance indexing framework that supports both real-time and batch processing needs.
The position requires optimizing Sui’s data infrastructure from end-to-end, including write performance, storage footprint, read performance, scaling, reliability, and costs.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners is essential to ensure seamless integration of data platform solutions with first-party applications and the broader ecosystem.
The candidate will serve as the technical lead on key projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions on time.

Requirements:

Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on systems architecture, databases, and performance optimization, with programming experience in either Rust or C++.
Extensive experience in building and scaling high-throughput systems is required.
Strong knowledge of data storage architectures, database technologies (SQL, NoSQL), and distributed computing is essential.
Postgres experience is highly desirable.
Expertise in performance tuning and optimizing both system architecture and low-level services is necessary.
The ability to lead technically complex projects and drive solutions from concept to production is required.
