Description:
Olo is a leading SaaS platform that accelerates digital transformation in the restaurant industry by providing digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions.
As a Staff Engineer at Olo, you will set quality standards, lead distributed system designs, and collaborate with stakeholders on technical roadmaps.
The role focuses on developer productivity, aiming to build a development platform that enhances the happiness and productivity of Olo’s application engineers.
You will report to the Software Infrastructure Team Lead and will be responsible for designing and building the platform, ensuring system reliability, driving process automation, and introducing innovative technologies.
This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere within the United Kingdom.
You will be contracted to Olo through Deel, an Employer of Record, which handles the legal and administrative responsibilities of your employment while you maintain a day-to-day relationship with Olo.
You will retain all employment rights under local law and be eligible for statutory benefits and pension programs.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master’s Degree is preferred.
You must have 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with expertise in Microsoft .NET applications.
Demonstrated deep technical knowledge across multiple domains, including distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD, is essential.
Advanced expertise in designing scalable and resilient architectures, including microservices and cloud-native deployments, is required.
You should be skilled in optimizing system performance and reliability using advanced resilience patterns and performance monitoring tools.
Proficiency in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices is necessary, with experience using tools like Terraform and Kubernetes.
Strong cross-team collaboration and strategic influence skills are expected, with the ability to lead multi-team efforts and align technical solutions with business goals.
Benefits:
The estimated compensation range for this position is £70,400 - £83,600 annually, depending on your experience.
