Description:

The System Developer will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining mission-critical applications for a DHS customer.
They will work on new development and re-engineering efforts, making system design decisions and implementing enhancements to existing systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Java, C#, C++, and GoLanguage development.
They will utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Maven, and work on all tiers of software development including UI, Java, and Oracle.
The role involves supporting software upgrades in AWS, deploying changes to the CICD pipeline, and following a Scrum/Agile project lifecycle approach.
The candidate will also be involved in cloud and AWS administration, setting up AWS infrastructure, and implementing DevOps processes.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 5+ years of development experience.
Experience with containerized development, deploying changes to the CICD pipeline, and implementing/configuring DevOps solutions.
Familiarity with API Gateways, software upgrades in AWS, Infrastructure as Code, different platforms, and Golang.
Proficiency in Java programming languages, DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Maven, Java Web Services/Spring Boot/Java EE, and Web Development/UI Frameworks/ HTML/JavaScript.
Experience with relational databases (RDBMS) such as Oracle DB, PostgreSQL DB, and MySQL.
Knowledge of Docker, AWS Admin Red Hat/OpenShift v4.x, and working in an Agile environment.
