Description:
The Test Automation Lead position at NearForm is a remote permanent role for individuals based in Canada.
The role involves playing a crucial part in the development process by working closely with Development Teams to ensure testing is integrated at all levels of development.
Responsibilities include designing and developing automated test solutions using Selenium, creating various automated tests, collaborating across teams, partnering with Business and Quality Analysts, validating non-functional requirements, implementing CI/CD pipelines, generating test reports, ensuring testing requirements are met, and driving continuous improvement of software testing methodologies.
Essential skills required for this role include exceptional communication skills, 12+ years of experience in software quality engineering with .NET and C#, proficiency in Visual Studio, .NET technologies, and Azure DevOps, strong experience with Selenium and modern automation frameworks, familiarity with unit test frameworks, solid understanding of modern development principles, experience in cloud testing, Microservice architectures, CI/CD, Azure environments, non-functional testing, SQL for database testing, agile development methodologies, strong analytical skills, and a Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
Requirements:
Exceptional communication skills in English to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
12+ years of experience in software quality engineering with extensive hands-on experience in .NET and C#.
Proficiency in Visual Studio, .NET technologies, and Azure DevOps.
Strong experience with modern automation frameworks, including Selenium.
Familiarity with unit test frameworks like NUnit, XUnit, and MSTest.
Solid understanding of modern development principles (SOLID, TDD, etc.).
Experience in cloud testing, Microservice architectures, CI/CD, and Azure environments.
Knowledgeable in non-functional testing (load, performance, security) and SQL for database testing and data validation.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Strong analytical skills with attention to quality and detail.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
