The position is for a Test Automation Engineer specializing in UI Automation at Software Mind, located in Chișinău, Moldova, with remote work options available.
The client is a leading global provider of real-time aggregated sports odds, offering B2B products such as APIs, low-latency feeds, and Big Data analytics.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing comprehensive integration tests for various subsystems and end-to-end tests across larger systems.
The engineer will define and enhance performance test approaches for distributed and clustered deployments.
They will devise automation approaches to make tests easy and repeatedly executable.
The role involves specifying, estimating, and carrying out testing throughout the development lifecycle.
The engineer will systematically capture, analyze, and report integration test results and raw performance metrics for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
They will take responsibility for process improvement related to integration and performance testing.
The engineer will propose architectural changes based on test results and lead the assessment and selection of testing tools.
They will help build a culture of testing across teams and share knowledge during team learning sessions, assisting less experienced colleagues as needed.

Requirements:

Proven experience in integration and performance testing, primarily using JVM-based solutions and custom Java or Scala code, along with key Linux automation tools.
Familiarity with network stack operations, Linux OS optimization, and identifying performance bottlenecks in distributed systems is required.
Hands-on experience with Application Process Interfaces (APIs) and web applications, as well as various streaming protocols, is necessary.
Proficiency in using Java, Scala, or Python to create performance-testing assets is essential.
Experience with performance testing in cloud environments, particularly AWS or Azure, is required.
Experience in the sports data information or betting systems domain is a plus.
Familiarity with financial, trading, and risk management systems is an advantage.
