emagineHealth is seeking an experienced WordPress Developer to join their growing team.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for WordPress and web development, and a desire to make an impact on lives.
The role involves developing and maintaining WordPress sites for clients, focusing on creating custom Gutenberg blocks.
Responsibilities include back-end and front-end development on various projects, from small brochure sites to complex sites with third-party integrations.
The developer will use a starter theme and a suite of plugins for quick deployment, but customization and research are essential parts of the job.
The position is remote and only open to U.S. based applicants.

Requirements:

Candidates must have a strong understanding of WordPress theme and plugin structure, template tags, custom post meta, internationalization, and data sanitization.
Experience in extending WordPress functionality using best practices is required.
Familiarity with custom post types and taxonomies is necessary.
Candidates should have a solid understanding of native PHP functions and experience in writing and using PHP classes and objects.
Front-end development experience with a focus on cross-browser support is essential.
Proficiency in CSS preprocessors like Sass, Less, or Stylus is required.
Candidates must be experienced with modern JavaScript (ES6/ESNext) techniques and best practices, excluding jQuery.
Familiarity with the WordPress REST API and building custom Gutenberg blocks with React or Advanced Custom Fields is necessary.
Experience with third-party API integrations and performance best practices is required.
Candidates should have debugging experience and familiarity with version control systems like Git or Subversion.
Experience using NPM and task runners/bundlers like Gulp, Grunt, and Webpack is essential.
A strong desire to learn unfamiliar systems and tools is a must.
