Description:

Lead the technical design of AI features in PyCharm and Python tooling.
Prototype and ship features as a hands-on technical leader.
Provide technical guidance and help the team adopt AI technologies.
Evaluate emerging AI tools and make decisions on integrations.
Collaborate with product managers, ML engineers, QA specialists, and senior developers.
Navigate a large Kotlin/Java codebase to enhance AI-powered workflows.
Contribute to cross-team AI efforts and define shared engineering patterns.

Requirements:

Strong software engineering experience, particularly in Python and/or Kotlin/JVM.
Familiarity with modern AI tooling for developers, including coding assistants and LLM-based workflows.
Experience in large codebases and delivering technical changes without compromising quality.
Knowledge of LLM evaluation and benchmarking.
Proven ability to make technical decisions in fast-moving environments.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction.
A strong product sense focused on solving real user problems.
